In October 2010 we released our first ever music video Land Far Away from The Star Women Mixtape which is a remake of Reggae Classic Satta Masagana by the Abyssinians (One of our favourite tunes!)
Filmed and directed by GlobalFactions in the Shepherds Bush area of London which has cultural significance to the early Caribbean migrants, we wanted to pay homage to our Jamaican roots in this song and acknowledge the universal spiritual energy that exists in certain Reggae music.
Although we were nervous about filming our first ever video, we had a great time, much laughter and positive vibes. We filmed some of the video in the Djed bookstore in Shepherds Bush and some in Shepherds Bush Market and in the video you'll see Cameo's of artists Mohammed Yahya, Sarina Leah, Rakin Niass and Brother Rudy who runs the store.
Many people have commented on the positive and warm vibes that exudes from the video shot during the last few days of sunshine we had before winter descended. I hope you like it
